The Cleveland Internationals' U-17 girls soccer team
won the United Soccer League's Super Y-League North American Championship late last month in Tampa, Fla. In the preliminary rounds, the Internationals defeated opponents from Ottawa,
Canada, New Jersey and Florida. In the semifinals, they defeated four-time New Hampshire state champions Seacoast United, 5-0. In the finals, the Internationals came from behind to beat Real Salt
Lake (Fla.) to reclaim the title they had won in the U-15 division in 2007. The tournament featured the best youth soccer clubs from around the United States and Canada. The team also finished third at the
Midwest Division during the regular season and went undefeated during the North American Finals. Earlier this year, the team won its third US Youth Soccer
Association (USYSA) State Cup Championship and represented the Midwest Region in the other major national event, the USYSA National Championships in Boston. Players are Kate Allen of Whitehouse; Becca Candler of
